Bill Brandt was born on the 2nd of May 1904 and died on the 20th of December 1983. He was a German-British photographer and photojournalist. Although born in Germany, Brandt moved to England, where he became known for his high-contrast images of British society, his distorted nudes and landscapes, and is widely considered to be one of the most important British photographers of the 20th century.

#1 There are strong diagonal lines, contrast between light and dark and also, there is no background, which makes the photo much more interesting as a close-up.
#2 I like how hands look on this photograph, also the composition and shadows work together creating balanced image.
#3 I like how the areas between the body work together with the background. The texture is really nice and strong white and dark areas make it really interesting.
#4 The lines are soft and there are strong white and dark areas. The composition is interesting as the object is moved to one site and we can see the background on the other. I like the idea that the body don't look natural.
